Tony Fox has thirty years extensive experience in high level acquisition and logistics management. He directed advance technology aerospace-oriented organizations with satellite offices in Europe and the Middle East in major international projects involving technology transfer, international teaming arrangements, joint ventures, and industrial and airspace operations.  Functional skills included buying, contract administration, cost and price analysis, production and program management, quality assurance, property and logistics management, foreign military sales, and organizational development.  His multifaceted business exposure involved cradle-to-grave contract management, proposal preparation and evaluation, audit and internal controls evaluation, and he is familiar with the contracting regulations of a variety of federal entities as well as being an accomplished troubleshooter and negotiator.

Lieutenant Colonel Fox retired from the United States Air Force in 1992 with nearly twenty five years of active duty service.  He is a veteran of Operations Desert Shield/Desert Storm.  His last military position was in joint service as Commander, Defense Contract Management Area Operations Ankara, which involved industrial plant oversight responsibility for the F-16 Fighting Falcon fighter/attack aircraft co-production program in Turkey, where he also served on the U.S. Ambassador’s Country Team.

Tony and his wife Ann relocated to Santa Barbara County, California in 1995 from Fairfax, Virginia, where he consulted for Educational Services Institute of Arlington, Virginia by performing duties as a Contract Review Specialist with FDIC identification for the Resolution Trust Corporation in the District of Columbia working cost recovery projects over $100,000 related to oversight of failed savings and loan companies.

As a new resident of the county, Tony, in the interest of citizenship and to better understand county government, served as a member of the county Grand Jury for the 1997-98 term.  Presently, he is the Finance Officer and a District Director with the Vandenberg Village Community Services District, a water/wastewater board, being elected in November 2002, and reelected in 2006. Tony and his wife Ann of forty years reside in Vandenberg Village.
